Updates from the front lines of... oh, whatever.

A little girl just gave me two pteradactyls she made at school. I doubt she made them specifically for me, since she just met me ten minutes ago, but I'll take hand-painted dinosaurs where I can get them.

Um, did I miss something?

Did you guys know that there are apparently 8 planets + 3 "dwarf planets" now? (I say "now" as if this were a new development.) Sadly, these dwarf planets do not actually appear to house dwarfs. Also, the planets do not appear to be in a neat row anymore. Upsetting!

They have to stop changing this crap around, it's too confusing. When I have kids, we're making our shoebox dioramas old school. We're also doing projects on the brontosaurus, using library books published in the 1970s. I don't care if they fail science.

From National Geographic: a mummified dinosaur was found in North Dakota. The body was naturally mummified, and includes intact skin and other tissue. The skin has lost its colour, but its texture is still visible.

According to this article from CNN technology, dinosaurs were fast: "The smallest dinosaur -- the Compsognathus -- could run nearly 40 miles per hour, about 5 miles per hour faster than the computer's estimate for the fastest living animal on two legs, the ostrich." But remember, as long as you don't move, they can't see you.
